Public Asked to Review Capital Projects

On Wednesday, July 11 during its Programming and Allocations Committee meeting, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission will hold a public hearing on the Draft 2013 Transportation Improvement Program and Draft Transportation-Air Quality Conformity Analysis. The meeting is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at 390 Main Street in San Francisco.

The Transportation Improvement Program is a comprehensive listing of surface transportation capital projects for the Bay Area that receive federal funds or are subject to a federally required action or are regionally significant. MTC released the draft on June 22, and will accept comment during a public review period that will run through Thursday, August 2.

Copies of the draft are available from the MTC-ABAG Library at 101 Eighth Street in Oakland, and from major public libraries in each of the nine Bay Area counties, as well as on the MTC website. For more information, call (510) 817-5787.
