The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has announced it will conduct a series of nine public workshops to review and discuss proposed amendments to its regulation of wood-burning devices. The Air District adopted the regulation in 2008 to protect Bay Area residents from the harmful health impacts of wood smoke.
The workshops will be held around the Bay Area from the last week of March and throughout April (see schedule below). Members of the public may provide comments on the proposed amendments at the workshops, by telephone, or via e-mail. The Air District will continue to accept public comments until Friday, May 8.
